| well I need help homies i dont wanna regret this By now this is the question, What is better/cheaper? an ati or a nvdia? an 3870 or an 8600 GT? i heard the 8600 GT has 512, but then i heard it has 256 MB, im confused can someone tell me if it has 256 or 512 plz?

| I prefer Nvidia, but that is just me.
Some like ATI some like Nvidia... I would just google each card and compare the specs.

6000 and 7000 series have PS 3
8000 to the 285 have PS 4.

now that is complete bullshit there. the memory is just as important as any other aspect of the card. 512 is the standard amount of memory for almost all new cards. like snipe and peca, i prefer nvidia as well because their cards have better benchmarks overall. ATI may struggle slightly, but they are great cards for people with low budgets, especially if you can afford 2 and put them in crossfire (ATI's equivalent to NVIDIA's SLI technology), then they really kick ass on benchmarks. to summarize, go with the 3870. make sure it is a dual slot card (better cooling), also, in a Crysis benchmark, the 3870 was only 2 average FPS lower overall on 3 tests. The settings were 1280x1024, 0AA(no anti-aliasing), DX10, Very High graphics. .ATI....Nvidia
3850 = 8600
3870 = 8800
4850 = 9600
4870 = 9800

DDR is Double Data Rate. if your RAM is DDR, then it works at twice the speed of your front side bus. its just double how fast some parts work on your computer (CPU, RAM, Motherboard).

| I don't know any shit about video cards and etc...Just know that mine is Nvidia 8600gt, dont remeber if its 256 or 512 but i think its 512mb...CoD4 max quality, Racedriver GRID too....
 Oh yeah, grid, gotta make a topic about it :P

| nah, any 50 dollar card can make grid run nice and pretty. i forget the developers but they sure did a damn well good job on making such good graphics work on little shit can computers

Yea, yea, Crysis can run in some shitty PCs but well...whatever....
I hate to post pics in JPG format cuz teh quality is shitty, but heard that PNG pics are bugged to some people
