Need help setting up microphone

For Christmas, I finally got a microphone. I noticed in Ventrilo that holding down Ctrl enables you to talk. Unforunately, that would be a bit difficult in SAMPS3RV or anywhere else to hold down Ctrl when talking. Is there a way to configure Ventrilo to always keep the microphone on (mine has a button to turn it on and off.)

im not sure there's an option for this....
but i know ya can change the button.. i chnaged my ctrl button to F2 cause im using ctrl in many other ways...

Dang. Well, currently I have it configured to work on Left Alt.

I always join the chat. wink

Edit: I have figured out how to enable it to pick up sound without me having to push a button. It's a bit sensitive though, but I am trying to fix that. wink

yeah it is annoying when people don't use hotkey to talk and they just have it on at all times....

so my suggestion is either find a new hot key or keep using the left control...i don't ever have a problem...
