| ok so i should of posted this like 2 weeks ago but i've been pretty busy lately with school and my gf. SAMP aint working for me. i've reinstalled plenty of times (all clean installs). i figure if i start installing all my programs i had before, it will start working. im sure im missing some windows component.

| Ya, post more in detail... also search the sa-mp.com forum as most SA probs have been reported and fixed in there... including the annoying Vista Access Violation.. God that pissed me off!  O ya: Don't forget to downgrade you SA exe to 1.0 version before installing SA-MP. GAMECOPYWORLD SEMI-ON-TOPIC-QUESTION: Do you think SA (R*) made a 2nd version of the exe due to Hot-caffe?

GTASA single player does not even work. I have a cracked version but the exe is cracked.
EDIT------------------- I have Windows XP Pro SP3 with latest updates installed. Windows is completely bare. Using only Windows FW and no AV. I have a vista theme pack, but it doesn't mod the registry in any way. (NOTE: My version of GTASA is not from STEAM, nor Jump2Drive, and is the original 1.0 version!) I did a clean install of GTASA v1.0 with the audio files (No R* folder within the drive contents, no registry entries) and installed NO MODS. I also did a clean install of the SA-MP 0.2.2 R3 Client. The SA-MP client works fine. It shows the ping and players on any server. The Favorites, Internet, and Official server lists all work fine. Now for the problem,
SA-MP client is up, i see SAMPS3RV on my favorites. I double click on SAMPS3RV to connect, I see the Server's ping Spike like normal, but instead of seeing a full black screen, nothing appears. I see nothing but the SA-MP client like before i tried to connect.

| What does this mean: (No R* folder within the drive contents, no registry entries) You know GTA and SA-MP rely on a specific directory to locate its game files riiight?

If its not that then I bet its the Vista Inpirat or whtever skin thing you use for the Vista theme / shell... OR Its SP3 which I know nothing about.

I was reading on SA issues and found that a new Windows User account may be needed. ^if you want help creating a new profile and how to transfer everything to it so it mimics your current Windows user account I can help... so can [U]16... lol I mean PiMP.

| i knew i should of posted this XP ok so like you said snipe, a new user account may be needed. i also saw that after i made my first post. that fixed the single player problem, just not the sa-mp.

| So now single player works. Goto add / remove programs and uninstall SA-MP. Install R0.2.2 then upgrade to R0.2.3 I smell victory!

| In Xp Windows profiles sometimes become corrupt due to applications and registry entries.
You can take all of your current data from one account and migrate it to the new one if you are interested... or just can the old acct or keep it. w/eAdded (2008-08-28, 10:06 Pm)

| dudes i can't find the old 2.2 r2 client anywhere. i have a torrent but it's taking forever. started almost an hour ago, only at 16%... for a 3.6 mb file! if you can post a download link for the 2.2 r2 client, DANKE SEHR!
