Probably but the perspective you could have created with the plains in vanishing point would have made it even better. Instead of 1 to 1 flip you could skew the reflection shape to look like the water is perpendicular to the wall the writing is sitting on. If you never tried the Vanishing Point in PS check it out, it can create a plain at any shape or angle. Blue plain is good, yellow plain could be better and red plain wont work. You can make pretty wild perspective and depth with it.

ya there is multiple ripple effects, depths, transparancy, wave strength, and about 5 other options that can be changed as well as rain snow and ripples
